A-D Technologies' Air-Trak™ HD provides a very efficient method for quickly installing cable into a continuous conduit system. The unique Horizontal Design (HD) of the powerful tractor assembly permits rapid loading of the cable, improved operator viewing of the cable during installation, and fast belt changeouts for maintenance purposes.
The Air-Assisted Cable Push/Pull System totally eliminates the tail load forces on the cable at the feed point by pushing the cable into the conduit. The system also uses a compressed air-assisted carrier assembly at the lead end of the cable to gently pull on the cable. Distances that are two to three times further and installation speeds that are two to three times faster than conventional capstan methods can be achieved.
Distance and speed depend, in part, on the type of conduit, integrity of any joints or couplings, cable size and stiffness, and other factors.
